Everyone has arrived and the gates are closed. There are a few more moments spent of several of the guests mingling. Some just stand back and watch. Tris who is never around this early in the party now stands at Arako's side. The crystal table that had been in the center of the room is removed and Arako stands near the center. Some guests have been here before and know what is about to happen. Some will be seeing the magical manor at work for the first time. Some like the sirens probably won't understand how rare the magic is, but then Arako doesn't know how much time any of them have spent this side the surface of the water. “Welcome everyone. So glad you can all make it and that you did so before the gates closed.” A few giggles and happy murmurs spread through the room and then die back down to a softer chatter again. “Let's get you all settled so you can make yourselves at home. As a reminder to those who have been here before the basement is mostly off limits. You may come and go from the other three floors as you please.” And on cue the stairs start to lower themselves. There is a very large ringed opening in the ceiling of the great hall. A ring of crystal had occupied it's inner circle, but now that crystal is lowering itself to reveal floating steps. These do not have an opening on the second floor and go all the way up to the third. There are two sets of steps to try and avoid traffic jams. One set starts on the north and ends on the south at the top, and the other is the other way around, creating a spiral of crystal. The crystal steps touch nothing, making them truly floating, though they do not bob and will not give underfoot, but remain steady and firm as if solidly attached to the building. A little crystal railing lines the inside of the steps all the way so no one can fall off, or stumble off as easily when drunk.
“If you'd make your way upstairs, you'll find we have hung wooden plagues with your names on them on the doors to your rooms. Feel free to remove those plaques and keep them for yourselves, or leave them so others will be able to find you later.” He smiles slyly and winks to Amaya. There again are several laughs and chattering from guests who have been here or have heard rumors of what happens here. Guests will often frequent the rooms of other guests. It's best to leave the plaques up so others will know who you are, or who you're not.
"Now please. Make yourselves at home."
